It is always wise to keep quiet once you have folded your hand. You do not want to give anything away to your opponents, so do not let them know what kind of hand you could have had. If you say nothing, this gives your opponent less of a chance of figuring you out. This applies to all aspects of Poker, including online Poker. Do not get involved in chatting with your opponent online as they could find out enough to suss you out as a player. Just keep quiet.
